Iridium Certus delivers global marine L-band connectivity across the world's oceans. The Iridium Certus marine communication platform is supported by the terminals built by Cobham and Thales and is fully mobile. By combining lightweight solutions with the speed and power of new satellites Iridium Certis is very suitable to support connectivity for critical operations and communication, regardless of the weather conditions or location.

The Iridium Certus network serves a multi-service platform. It offers high definition voice lines, video conferencing, high speed IP data and streaming, packet data service (SBD) and safety services. You can use it as a standalone service or as a complement to your VSAT Internet solutions. The network is ideal for both small and large ships and vessels, with small or large data needs.
In short, the Iridium Certus network is very reliable and has a high-quality design. This is apparent from the three advantages below:
• The robust equipment is resistant to all weather conditions: the marine terminals are built by world-class manufacturers and have no moving parts to wear out. As a result, the frequency is unaffected by weather conditions and withstands erosion. The Iridium signal can penetrate clouds, fog and rain better than the higher frequency Ka- and Ku- Band signals.
• Global: Iridium Certis is the only communications network designed to deliver optimal coverage to every point across the ocean, even the most remote locations.
• High-speed: with speed capabiliteits from 22 Kbps to 704 Kbps, Iridium Certus offers the fastest L-band speeds.
Powered by a unique constellation of 66 cross-linked Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, the Iridium Certus network ensures real-time global high-speed internet and voice lines to every corner of the ocean.
