Inmarsat and Iridium are two popular L-band back-up services installed on offshore rigs and vessels via Castor Marine. L-band airtime is a service resilient to weather conditions and locations. You can easily switch from L-band to VSAT or 4G LTE when you are close to shore or in a certain region. Not only does this save you costs but also allows you to be connected to the quickest Internet available. We offer three types of L-band services:

• Iridium OpenPort - global broadband data and voice connection up to 134 Kbps data speed
• Inmarsat FleetBroadband - cost-effective broadband data and voice up to 432 Kbps
• Iridium Certus - supports critical connectivity everywhere up to 704Kbps
